The problem

Reinterpret an existing agency brand as a contemporary web experience, with clearer portfolio discovery, responsive navigation and multilingual access. Performance and user retention were design goals, not measured outcomes.

The product

An independent website redesign concept with portfolio-led navigation, motion and Spanish, English and French versions, implemented as a static web experience on Cloudflare.

My role & implementation

I defined the website concept, visual direction, UX, navigation, motion, technology stack and hosting approach. I iterated visually and directed LLM coding agents, which generated the implementation code. The original brand concept, identity and branding belong to El Catrín; this was not a commissioned agency deliverable.

Key experience decisions

Use the existing brand as the starting point; organize exploration around agency work; balance motion with clear navigation; support multilingual access within the same experience.

What this demonstrates

Direction and execution: turn an open-ended brief into experience requirements, choose a suitable delivery approach and evaluate successive implementations against a coherent visual and navigation concept.

What I would validate next

Test portfolio discovery on mobile, review accessibility and measure loading performance. Any retention improvement would need analytics and a comparison baseline before being claimed. Before production, I would work with a development team to review the code, architecture, security and maintainability, and prioritize any required changes.

Built with AI coding agents

I defined the problem, experience, technology choices and review criteria. AI coding agents generated the implementation code under my direction.
